Helge is left-handed, he lustfully paints and scribbles with his left hand, but at school he is re-educated. Nevertheless, writing remains his passion and he tries to succeed as an author at a young age. After the publication of two novels with only moderate success, he sees himself forced to make another U-turn. He gives up his own writing and from now on edits foreign texts for a service agency. But the left hand, the wild, the strong, comes back, Helge gives in to it and begins to write down the story of his great love Elena and her suicide with his left hand. At the end he asks himself: Should I fight my way through the jungle of the literary business once again? To endure the cold of saturated editors and publishers? His heart hand says yes.
